Announcements for Sunday, July 22, 2018
Lord God of heaven and earth, who hast made the Church Thy dwellingplace, and chosen it as Thy rest for ever, and hast taught us in Thy Word not to forsake the assembling of ourselves together; regard us in Thy mercy, we beseech Thee, and send Thy Holy Spirit upon us; that our worship may prepare us, both to serve Thee now, and to glorify Thee hereafter in Thine eternal kingdom, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

MEMORIAL CARDS – Due to the cost of stamps/cards and the time spent writing them, the Church Council has suggested that we no longer send thank you cards to church members for memorial donations. You will still be able to see your contribution on your donor statement, and you can always call the church office at 812-867-3142 if you ever have any questions. Thank you for your understanding!

Tickets to the dinner make a great gift to say thank you to someone, get a new face to come to the dinner, or just invite your friends that might not come without enticing.
CHICKEN SUPPER COUNTRY MARKET – The Country Market will need donations of garden vegetables, homemade breads, cakes, pies and cookies. Aprons, potholders, and new fall decorations are also welcome. DESSERT DONATIONS FOR THE CHICKEN SUPPER – As has been the practice over the past few years, we will not be contacting you directly for dessert donations to be served at this year’s Chicken Supper. We usually serve about 1100 dinners and we ran a bit short last year. Therefore, we are asking each family to please consider donating a cake and/or pies. Sugar-free Desserts are needed as well.
WE WILL NOT BE DOING KUCHENS THIS YEAR – Instead, we are asking that in addition to desserts brought in for the meal, we ask for everyone to bring something for the Country Store—crafts, baked goods, plants, etc.
DONATIONS OF FLOUR, GRANULATED SUGAR, BROWN SUGAR, EGGS AND BUTTER ARE NEEDED FOR THE CHICKEN SUPPER OR CASH WILL ALWAYS BE ACCEPTED-There is a tote box in the kitchen marked “CHICKEN SUPPER” – please place your donations there and thank you for your support.
LOOKING FOR A JOB – There is a list of work opportunities on the Fellowship Hall doors. If you’ve volunteered before, please look for your name and check mark it if you can do the same job again. If you’d like to volunteer, please look for empty spaces & sign up. You can also contact one of the committee members — Karen Emerson (812-774-0777) or Randy Freeman (812-449-2026). This is a huge moneymaker for our church and we need lots of volunteers. Thank you for your support!
